I would like to start this blog with a relatively unknown hero, Dr Gordon Ewy, a man who has stepped away from from his peers and is changing the way we run codes. Here is a doctor living in the real world, advancing relevant, reality based emergency medicine we can take into the field immediately. Dr Ewy's down-to-earth teaching style is a refreshing change from institutions like the NREMT. Even if it means butting heads with the entrenched EMS establishment, Dr. Ewy has stayed on task, and thats why I think he is a perfect role model for a rebel medic.
